黄土成因问题的探讨

摘    要:黄土地因问题争论了一百多年,迄今尚无定论。曾经提出过许多假说,其焦点始终是水成和风成之争。笔者认为,讨论的范围,应包括参加黄土形成的全部地质作用。可分为六个阶段和有关问题:1.原始物质的形成;2.第一搬运营力,主要是物质来源问题;3.第二搬运营力,主要是堆积方式问题;4.同生作用,黄土化和脱黄土化问题;5.后生作用,主要是脱黄土化问题;6.黄土的再搬运和再沉积。

Abstract:The loess in China has a widest distribution and possesses a huge thickness. The genesis of Chinese loess, however, was still a matter of controversy for years: Based upon field observations and data from literatures the author come up to the following conclusions.The Chinese loess is formed due to weathering processes under arcid climate. The anticyclonal wind from the high pressure center of Mongolia-Siberia serves as a major agent for transporting the loessic materials. In some localities there also exist other kinds of transportational agent, such as sloping flow, fluvial, proluvial and fluvio-glacial flow etc. Accordingly, the loesses can be divided into the following genetic types, namely: eolian, eolian-diluvial, eolian-proluvial, eolian-alluvial, eolian-fluvioglacial etc.The soil formation under the arid climatic condition seems to be the syngenetic process, and the loessificational process as well. Whereas the soil formation under the humid climatic condition appears to be the epigenetic process, and thus the diloessifica-tional process. The latter always generated a lot of intercalations of old soil in the loessic strata. The characteristics of the Chinese loess are variable under the influence of various factors. The study of loess must be carried out with due attention to both physico-geographic and physico-historical conditions.Finally, the definition of loess can be described as follows: loess is a sort of continental dustic deposits, generated mainly by wind action in the geological periods.
