黄土高原南部晚更新世黄土地层划分、显微结构及力学性质特征

摘    要:黄土高原南部晚更新世黄土地层包括三层黄土(L11、L12、L13)和三层古土壤(S01、S02、S1),共六个层次。Q4/Q3界线划在S0/L11界面上,年龄约为10000aB.P.;Q3/Q2界线划在S1/L2界面上,年龄约为120000aB.P.。在区域上自北向南,晚更新世黄土的显微结构由微胶结结构组合逐渐过渡为半胶结结构组合,直到胶结结构组合,黄土的力学性质相应地由差变好。在剖面中自上而下,黄土的显微结构类型与其力学性质指标之间亦存在着上述变化规律。研究结果表明,黄土的显微结构类型作为评价黄土工程性质的一种简便方法大有在工程实践中推广使用的前景。

STRATIGRAPHIC DIVISION, MICROFABRIC AND MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LATE PLEISTOCENE LOESS IN THE SOUTHERIN LOESS PLATEAU OF CHINA

Abstract:The Late Pleistocene loess of the southern Loess Plateau of China consists of three layers of loess (L11, L12 and L13) and three layers of paleosol (S01, S02 and S1). The Q4/Q3 boundary is placed at the S0/L11 boundary which dates from about 10000 a B.P., while the Q3/Q2 boundary is placed at the S1/L2 boundary whose age is about 120000 a B. P. In the region of the southern Loess Plateau of China, the microfabric characteristics of the Late Pleistocene loess show a distinct pattern of variation both in space and geological time. Regionally from north to south as well as veryically from the top to the basal part in individual sections, the microfabric of the Late Pleistocene loess passes from weakly cemented to semicemented and finally to entirely cemented type. Correspondingly, the mechanical properties of the loess gradually change from worse to better. For instance, slumping coefficient and coefficient of selfweight slumping decrease markedly, while initial pressure for slumping and preconsolidation pressure gradually increase. The variation consistency between the microfabric types and mechanical properties of loess shows that the engineering geological properties of loess are governed by its microfabric characteristics. The results of this research demonstrate that the study of microfabric characteristics of loess. is of importance in the prediction and preliminary evaluation of engineering properties of loess in a certain region.
