| Abstract: | Three samples from a Triassic-age batholith in the eastern Andes northeast of La Paz, Bolivia yield apatite fission-track ages of 11–13 Ma. Interpreting these young ages as due to uplift and erosion requires approximately 2.5–5.0 km of erosion in the past 12 Ma, an amount which is consistent with the known geology and which is typical of many active mountain ranges. |
