| Abstract: | On the basis of the theory for the bifurcation structure of Rundle mode earthquake,which comes of the Bifureation trheory of Weierstrass function associated with Rundle mode of earthquake, and the principle of energy minimum, criteria for explosion of Rundle mode earthquakes are derived. The one is-p×signu（0）] ＞ / 2.83 for explosion of a strong earthquake and the another is p×signu（0）] ＞/2.83 for weak earthquakes, where p, u（0） and are the external stress, the initial disloca tion and the peak-to-trough frictional difference, respectively, on the faults. |
