| Abstract: | Marine fouling is not only an economic problem,but also a technical problem.Current marine antifouling measures and technologies are outlined in the paper.With the marine environmental and human health concerns,developing novel,non-toxic and effective fouling control systems are required and further work should be focused on the development of natural anti-fouling compounds,elucidation of adhesion mechanisms and revelation of dominant fouling species characteristics. |
