Abstract: | Conclusions Geological and geochemical data indicate that the Dauletabad area and the Chemenibid anticline fold are promising. The Morgunov uplift has better tectonic characteristics, but a lack of hydrocarbon gas anomalies is less encouraging. This forecast has been supported by data obtained during deep drilling, and by geochemical anomalies found on the surface that are associated with the Dauletabad-Donmez gas field. In the Chemenibid fold, the forecast was substantiated by discovery of commercial quantities of gas from Lower Jurassic deposits in exploratory well N1. |
