| Abstract: | Ten days before the Nantou MS=7.6 earthquake in Taiwan on September 21, 1999, it was noticed that there was satellite infrared anomaly. Based on this anomaly, an oral report was made to the Center of Monitoring Prediction, Seismological Bureau of Zhejiang Province on September 14, 1999. We said that strong earthquake would occur at Taiwan or Taiwan Strait recentlyj , and then asked for the Observatory of Jinhua City to save the data of cloudy map k . It is a precious record of infrared anomaly just before earthquake. Now, we come out with it for further study and discussion. |
