| Abstract: | On the basis of historical data of the Kunming earthquake occurred on June 7,1696 and on the spot investigation on seismic traces at Chuanxin tower and Miaozhen temple,Guandu, Kunming and their seismogeological envirnoment,the authors believe the epicentral intensity of this event was VII degree and the magnitude,M 5 ,and the epicentre lain near Guandu in the suburbs of kunming. |
