THORPEX国际科学研究新进展

摘    要:2009年9月14—18日,第三届THORPEX国际科学研讨会在美国加州蒙特利市顺利召开。大会就五个专题进行学术交流,分别是全球交互式预报系统,区域活动和交叉研究主题,可预报性和动力过程,资料同化和观测策略,社会和经济效益研究及应用。本文简要总结了参与此次研讨会的各区域、各工作组及与会专家的最新研究成果。从会议的报告来看,THORPEX的进展主要表现在改善高影响天气外场观测活动以及对如何设计全球观测系统的认识、面向TIGGE的集合预报技术的研究等。

Abstract:The 3rd THORPEX International Science Symposium was held in Monterey, California,USA during September 14--18,2009. Presentations and posters on five themes were offered by more than 100 scientists from China, Japan, USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany and so on. This paper gives a brief review of the study on Global Interactive Forecast System-THORPEX Interactive Grand Global Ensemble( TIGGE), Regional Campaigns and Cross Cutting Research Themes (RCCCRT), Predictabili- ty and Dynamical Process ( PDP), Data Assimilation and Observation Strategies ( DAOS ) and Socio-E- conomic Research and Application (SERA). New achievements in THORPEX show that improvements have been made in the field of high-impact weather observations, design of Global Observing System and study of multimodel ensemble forecast based on TIGGE archive.
