摘    要:将分形几何学的原理和方法,应用于红河断裂带中南段断错水系的研究。发现断错水系的分维值变化可以反映当地新构造活动的的变化趋势,中段水系的分维值总体上高于南段,南段内部分维值有一定的变化,反映出断裂带的构造活动性由中段尾部向两头增强的趋势。

Abstract:The Red River Fault Zone is a gigantic sliding fault zone extending from Tibet to South China Sea up to 1000km.It has been divided into the north, central, and south segments by difference in geometry, kinetics, and seismicity. Drainage system has an apparent dextral dislocation along the Red River Fault Zone. Based on the theory and method of the fractal geometry, this paper mainly discusses the relationship of fractal characteristic of dislocated drainage system and neotectonic activity in the middle-south segment of the Red River Fault Zone. The authors extracted seven drainage systems from the map and measured theirs D values of fractal dimension. Different D values of fractal dimension stand for different activity of Neotectonic. It shows that the D values of fractal dimension in the central segment slightly higher than that in the south segment. D values of the end of central segment are minimum. Based on the D values find that latest faulting has a tendency to be active from southeastern part to the northwestern part of the Red River fault and the end of central segment activity is weakest than other segment.
