华北地区的地震层面成象

摘    要:本文根据华北地区(东经110.5°-123.0°,北纬30.5°-41.5°)1981-1984年间7520条P波到时资料,利用正交投影法重建了该区的地壳和上地幔的三维速度结构,应用数字图象处理技术获得了不同深度(横切片)的速度图象。层面成象的结果表明:1.华北地区的地震波速度存在明显的横向不均匀性。2.华北地区的大地震几乎都发生在高速、低速区的过渡带上。3.深度为14km的层面速度图象与熟知的地质构造非常相似;深度为75km的层面速度图象存在三个明显的低速区,它们分别位于郯庐断裂带、太行山前断裂带和山西断陷带,这一结果有利于关于上述地区为大陆裂谷带的认识。 本文在获得三维速度图象的同时,还重新确定了该区的129个地震的震源位置。

Abstract:By using 7520 P arrivals recorded in the North China region (110.5°E-123.0°E, 30.5°N-41.5°N) during the period from 1981 to 1984, we have reconstructed the 3-D velocity structures of the crust and uppermost mantle of the, region with the orthogonal projection method, and graphed the velocity cross-sections of various depths (horizontal cross-section) with digital image processing technique. The results of tomography demonstrate that 1. there is significant lateral inhomogeneity in wave velocity in the North China region; 2. nearly all the strong earthquakes occur in the transition zones between high velocity regions and low velocity regions; 3, the image of the velocity cross-section of 14 km depth is very similar to that of well-known geological structure, and there are three significant low velocity regions on the velocity cross-section of 75 km depth, located respectively at Tan-Lu fault zone, Taihang mountain piedmont fracture zone and the Shanxi depression fault zone. This result is favorable to the assumption that the above-mentioned regions are continental rift valley zones.While reconstructing the 3-D velocity structure, we have carefully relocated hypo-centers of 129 earthquakes in the region.
