摘    要:本文主要根据1980年中、美联合调查南海时所获得的声纳浮标测量结果,探讨中国南海中部和北部各个地貌单元上的地壳结构、性质以及新生代的发展简史。

Abstract:The crustal nature of the central and nortern parts of South China Sea is discussed in this paper as a result of the sonobuoy measurement, The conclusions are as follows:1. The crustal nature of the northern continental shelf and upper slope of South China Sea is the continental crust. The difference from the South China Continent is that the thickness of the northern continental shelf and upper slope is not more than 25 km.2. The crust of the deep sea plain of South China Sea is the oceanic crust, and its thickness is about 4.4-8.75 km, and the average thickness of it is about 6.3 km. The thickness of the northern and southern parts is more than the central part of the deep sea plain.3. The crustal nature is different between the western part and eastern part of the lower slope in the northern part of South China Sea: It is the Oceanic crust in the western part and the boundaries between the slope-deep sea plain boundary morphologically and the continental crust-oceanic crust boundary are different in the western part; It is the continental crust and the boundries between the slope-deep sea plain boundary morphologically and the continental crustoceanic crust boundary in the eastern part is same.4. The basement in the northern and southern parts of the deep sea plain are basalt of middle-late Oligocene., and the basement in the central part of the deep sea plain is the basalt of the early Miocene.
