| Abstract: | ArcGIS is a computer system which can import,store,dispose,analyze and display multi-dimensional data.It has powerful graphics and image data processing ability and has been used in earthquake data treating widely.This paper specified the usage of ArcGIS in earthquake thematic mapping.Using the existing circular or elliptic attenuation relationship of seismic intensity,this paper explained the simulating of earthquake affecting field on the ArcGIS platform,and made the progress of mapping much easier.And this paper also put forward some issues in cartography. |
