| Abstract: | The paper is based on report of a committee which produced by the Japanese National Committee for TC28.In this paper,current construction of tunnels in Japan is introduced,including shield tunneling and NATM methods.New earthquake-resistant designs for the tunnels after the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu Earthquake are also introduced. |
