| 摘 要： | A total of 23 strong earthquakes with Ms ≥ 7.0 occurred in 2013 throughout the world according to the China Seismic Network （ Table 1） . The strongest earthquake was in the Sea of Okhotsk, measuring Ms8.2 on May 24 （ Fig. 1） . Earthquakes oeeurred mainly in the western part of the cireum--Pacifie seismie belt. Compared with the seismieity in 2012, the frequeney increased significantly and the energy release of earthquakes was obviously low. Features of global seismicity of Ms ≥7.0 are as follows：
