| Abstract: | The Urumqi city of Xinjiang is located in the middle section of Tianshan earthquake belt with frequent seismic activity. The potential danger of occurring urban earthquake disaster is growing with the development of the economics. Based on the earthquake environment in Urumqi and its features of the historical earthquake disasters,the structural types of the buildings in Urumqi and their earthquake resistant capability were analyzed,and some concrete suggestions were advanced for protecting against and mitigating earthquake disaster in Urumqi. |
