Abstract: | Using the strong motion records of Tangshan strong aftershocks, the attenuation characteristics of horizontal peak accelerations of strong motion in near field are studied in this paper and the attenuation relations (soil, soil and rock) in Tangshan area are obtained. Besides, we have obtained the attenuation relation in the eastern part of North America, and comparing it with those in North China. We think both of the attenuation tendencies are consistent and the attenuation characteristics in North China can give a reference to the ones in the eastern part of North America. |
