| Abstract: | A comparison of lunar ilmenites (Apollo 11, 10047, 13) with terrestrial ilmenites by means of electron microprobe analysis, X-ray and Mössbauer spectrometry showed that the lunar samples contained no Fe3+ but excess Ti3+. This causes an increase of thec-axis as compared with stoichiometric ilmenite. |
