| Abstract: | In this paper, a new scheme is raised, that is about dividing the seismic belts and seismic areas in the South China Area. It pointed out that the NEE striking fault is the main fault, which controlled the seismic activities of South China Seismic Area; and the east part of the fault is intersected by the NW striking Bashi System fault . According the thinking, the dividing method , we obtain three seimic belts : II1 Coastal Seismic Belt; II2 Neritic - Hainan Island Seismic Belt; III Bashi System Seismic Belt. And we give the opinion of dividing the South China Seismic Area, the Middle China Seismic Area ( I area) and the South China Marine Basin Seismic Area (III area) . |
