Abstract:A water quality simulation study of transportation of heavy metals (lead et al) in the Yellow River was performed. The study focused on the effects of suspended sediments on transportation of metals and the calibration and verification of models. Simulation results for different discharges and suspended sediment concentrations as well as different types of sedimentation and scour in the high and low flow periods were obtained. These results are comparable with monitoring data.
