| Abstract: | The characteristics of adsorbing oil by sediment are investigated by means of theoretical analysis and experiment. The corresponding mathematic model of adsorption is presented in this paper. The effects of sediment concentration, grain size of sediment, initial concentration of emulsified oil and flow condition on adsorption properties are studied. The investigation could lead to a deeper understanding of mechanism of oil diffusion, advection and its transformation in water body. |
