| Abstract: | In this paper,the advantages of database management systems over file systems in data management and resource sharing is discussed in detail.An introduction is given to the current situation of database management systems and their developmental directions.And also Two examples of successful application of database management systems to data management and resource sharing are cited in this paper.All these facts show that it is applicable and necessary to establish distributed database systems in organizations of China Seismological Bureau. |
