河南地区地震目录最小完整性震级探讨

摘    要:以河南地区(31°—37°N,110°—117°E)1970—2020年11月地震目录作为研究资料,采用G—R关系法、震级—序号法和最大曲率法测定不同时段最小完整性震级Mc。结果显示,1970—1979年由于研究区内台站数量少,Mc约为ML 2.5;1980—2001年为稳定的模拟观测时期,地震监测能力有所提升,Mc约为ML 2.3;2002—2007年大量模拟观测台站停测,Mc上升至ML 2.6。2008—2020年11月,G—R关系法、震级—序号法和最大曲率法均显示McML1.5。

Abstract:The earthquake catalogue from 1970 to November 2020 in the Henan area (31°-37°N, 110° -117°E) was taken as research data. The G-R relation method, serial number method, and maximum curvature method were used to measure the minimum magnitude of completeness (Mc) in different periods. The results showed that the Mc was around ML 2.5 in 1970-1979 due to few stations. From 1980 to 2001 was a stable analog observation period, during which the seismic monitoring ability was improved and Mc was around ML 2.3. From 2002 to 2007, Mc rose to about ML 2.6 because a large number of analog observation stations stopped observation. Since 2008, the G-R relation method, serial number method, and maximum curvature method all show Mc to be around ML 1.5.
