| Abstract: | Seismic monitoring network in Shaanxi Province and its operation conditions are introduced. The functions of the network during Wenchuan M 8.0 earthquake in some aspects, such as earthquake rapid report, earthquake type determination, aftershock prediction, seis- mic intensities partition and earthquake relief, etc. are summarized and analyzed. Construction of seismic monitoring network and related problems about earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction are finally discussed. |
