Abstract: | Whilst earth surface landforms evolve largely as a result of the activity of certain living organisms, the biologically driven geomorphic changes have evolutionary consequences on organisms and ecological communities. Recognition of complex biotic–abiotic feedbacks may lead to deep changes in our understanding of geomorphology. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. |
