| Abstract: | It is demonstrated that the longitudinal spectral coherence differs significantly from the transversal spectral coherence
in its dependence on displacement and frequency. An expression for the longitudinal coherence is derived and it is shown how
the scale of turbulence, the displacement between observation sites and the turbulence intensity influence the results. The
limitations of the theory are discussed. |
