摘    要:本文对造成2000年5月10日茂名地区特大暴雨的天气形势、大气物理量场和数值产品应用等特征进行了分析,得出的主要结论为:①500hPa东亚槽加深,形成“北槽南涡”形势,在广西与粤西之间发展成中尺度系统“T”型的辐合切变,是有利的天气背景条件。②地面锋面低槽的南压,强烈的降压,是大气层不稳定能量释放、特大暴雨爆发的触发因子。③200hPa辐散,850hPa辐合的垂直配置,有利于低层水汽能源源不断上送;④特大暴雨发生在正涡度中心附近和上升运动中心的南侧。

Abstract:This paper presents some characteristics of synoptic situation,atmospheric phisical field and application of numerical weather predicion products for the case of storm rainfall that occurred on May 10 ,2000.Some significant results were obtained as follows:①East Asia trough developed repeatedly and deepened rapidly at 500hPa,It led the low-level southwest vortex developed and moved towards east,which formed the typical“north trough and south vortex”system and caused the mesoscale “T” convergence shear of wind between the west of Guangdong and south of Guangxi.There was favourable synoptic background environment for the heavy rain.②The low-pressure trough of fronts at surface moved southward,and surface pressure fell rapidly,So it caused strong convergence and rising monton.The mesoscale updraft and precipitation were further strengthened.As a result,the atmospheric instability energy was delivered and the rainstorm was outbroken.③ The maintenance and reinforcement of the upper air divergence at 200hPa and the low-level convergence at 850hPa guaranteed the perseverance of ascending and made the low-level vapor move upword.④The rainstorm took place near the centre of the positive vorticity and the south to the rising movement.
