| 摘 要： | 绪言湖北省位於长江中游,(约自东经108°—116°北纬29°—33°)据云梦平原,面积约六十一万方里,地势西北高於东南,襟江带汉,湖泊星罗,滨水有四十馀县之多,自古有泽国之称。全省田庐除一部分在山区者外,大半恃堤防为之保障,设不幸而遇淫潦,则数十县富庶之区,尽成一片汪洋,国富民命,损失不可胜计。民国二十及二十四年之大水灾,迄今犹令人谈虎色变!夫水旱饥馑之灾,虽由於天变之剧

| Abstract: | Baced on the map of annual rainfall distribution Hupeh province is subdivided into three distinctive rainfall regimes and they are (a) the western mountains;(b) the central plain; and (c) the southeastern lake districts. These three regions differe moth in the annual amount and the distribution of rainfall. The wide variability of rainfall in the mountainous regions and the rain that is causes by high pressure systems are also discussed. In the writer's opinion the raia that is due to high pressure plays a very important role in Hupeh province. |
