Abstract:Flue-cured tobacco is very sensitive to the waterlogging,which will bring great loss to the growth and production. It is important to study the effect of different levels of waterlogging on the growth of flue-cured tobacco in different growth stage which can help to guide the production of flue-cured tobacco and the water management in the field. Flue-cured tobacco of Yuyan87 is studied respectively in resettling growth stage, vigorous growth stage and budding stage in 2009--2010 by planning the waterlogging period. The waterlogging period is set to 24 h,48 h,72 h,120 h and the control group. The result showed that the growth of plant height in the three growth stages are not influenced by the 72 h wateringlogging, but single leaf area would decrease more than 20%, and the growth of stem girth would decrease. When the period of waterlogging is set to 120 h, the growth of plant height would be inhibited, and the single leaf areas will decrease respectively by 78%, 88% and 89% in resettling growth stage, vigorous growth stage and budding stage. The limit of Yuyan87 to endure the period of waterlogging is less than 72 h. If the waterlogging period is set to 120 h, all the agronomic character index will decrease rapidly.
