| Abstract: | Under semi-geostrophic approximation, the condition of topographic gradient and the initial perturbation in which the nonlinear equation describing Rossby waves possesses a wave solution were discussed by using the method introducing a phase angle function and analysizing the phase diagram determined by the ordinary differential equation. |
