| 摘 要： | 建立海图符号库是数字海图制图中一项最基础的工作之一，而ArcGIS又是当前最适合于数字海图制图领域使用的一个功能十分强大的GIS工具软件。但与其他GIS工具软件一样，ArcGIS的符号库同样存在无法完全满足数字海图制图与显示需要的问题。为此，通过数字海图符号化的实例，详细介绍了基于ArcGIS环境的海图符号库设计与实现的方法。

| Abstract: | Building up chart symbol library is one of the basic tasks in digital chart production. ArcGIS is one of the most suitable software with unique functions in digital chart production. As the same as other GIS software, the symbol library of ArcGIS still can＇ t completely satisfy the requirement of digital chart production and display. Thus, through an example of symbolizing digital chart, the paper described the methods in building up chart library under the condition of ArcGIS. |
