双壳类软体动物的水产遗传学研究进展

Abstract:Bivalve is very important in the aquaculture industry and its production has increased in the world. Genetic studies of bivalves have been developed in recent years using classic or modern methods of genetics and biotechnology. This paper reviews the genetic studies on the bivalve like oysters with reference to aquaculture. Using hatchery technique, selective and cross breeding and chromosome manipulation have been conducted. Traits studied in these studies were the growth, shape and color of shells and maturation which are important for aquaculture production. Studies on classic breeding and triploid manipulation have provided interesting results. Heritabilities of shell traits are rather high and useful for selective breeding in many traits. Triploid has been induced in many bivalve species but the performance and evaluation have been reported to be variable with regards to sterility, growth rate and physiological traits depending on the species or localities. Gynogenesis or androgenesis were not successfully reported in bivalve species. Information on molecular genetics has been scarce in bivalve until recently but studies on cDNA and DNA polymorphism has increased and will be important for aquaculture.
