| Abstract: | Based on catenary theory, a method named the Lumped Mass Method is used to analyze dynamicly a single chain line, the configuration of the hoe and the time history of thedynamic tensions are obtained. The nonlinear drag force is assumed to be proportional to thesquare of the fluid velocity relative to the chain line and the forced oscillation at the upperend of hoe is sinusoidal.The computed results are in good agreement with the experimentalresults. |
