摘 要: | Wave forces on offshore structures are one of the most important factors in design and in investigation. Since a column with footing is geometrically axi-symmetrical, the whole fluid domain may be divided into some sub-regions and the velocity potential for each sub-region may be expressed formally by its eigenfunction expansion. By matching the potentials for individual sub-regions on their common boundaries the potentials can be determined uniquely. The present paper describes the matching method for the computation of wave forces on a column with footing. In comparison between the computation results obtained by the present method and those obtained by the three dimensional source distribution method, the present method is capable of offerring accurate computation results for the wave forces on a column with footing with high saving in computer time.
