| Abstract: | The developmental history of developed countries has shown that there are some relationships between economic development and environmental pollution, and at the primary stage of economic development, the fast-growing economy may be followed by environmental sacrifices. This problem was dramatically serious in the Circum-Bohai-Sea Zone during the past few years. This paper uses the principle and model of Environmental Kuznets Curve to analyze the relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution in the Circum-Bohai-Sea Zone. The results showed that, in the past few decades, the relationship of this area basically matched with the U-shape Environmental Kuznets Curve. And the study finds that the economy in this area has been at the stage of fast-growing with low environmental pollution according to the industrial polluting level, but still at the stage of fast-growing with high environmental pollution according to the total polluting level. |
