太平洋中部磁性地层学研究

摘    要:本文通过太平洋中部5个长柱状岩心古地磁样品的测量分析,对区内早中新世以来的松散沉积层进行了磁性地层的划分对比,确定了各孔研究深度内沉积层的时代,认识到太平洋中部新世以来主要有两个沉积时期和两个沉积间断时期。第一沉积期分别到早中新世末或中中新世初停止沉积,为主沉积期,沉积了岩心的大部分。从晚上新世或第四纪初开始沉积到第四纪中晚期停止沉积的是第二沉积期,从早中新世末或中中新世初至早上新世或第四纪初为主

Abstract:According to measurement analysis of paleomagnetic samples from 5 Central Pacific cores,this paper gives a magnetostratigraphic classification and correlation of the loose sedimentary layers since Early Miocene in the central area, determines ages of the sedi-mentary layers within the study depths of all the 5 holes ,and points out that there havebeen two sedimentation periods and two hiatus periods since Miocene in the Central Pa-cific.The first sedimentation period which ended at the end of Early Miocene or at thebeginning of Mid Miocene,is the principal sedimentation period,during which majorityof the cores were deposited. And the period from Late Pliocene or the early time of Qua-ternary to Middle and Late Quaternary is the second sedimentation period.The principalhiatus period lasted 13.0-17.0 Ma,from the end of Early Miocene or the beginning ofMid Miocene to Early Pliocene or the early time of Quaternary,and the second hiatus pe-riod is from Middle and Late Quaternary to the present day.All the cores have a sedimentation rate of about 1-2mm/ka,which has been inferredfrom the sedimentation periods,and therefore this study area is good for the growth andenrichment of manganese nodules.
