| Abstract: | In this paper, it is concluded that the most prominent feature based on the statistical assessment of earthquake fault plane solutions, insitu stress measurements,geodetic strain measurements and the features of fault activity in the recent tectonic stress field is the regionalization of compressive principal stress direction in Three Gorges and its neighbouring area. |
