| 摘 要： | 就施林峰同志对湖北建始龙骨洞“建始人”的时代提出的异议进行讨论。哺乳动物化石、古人类化石和沉积速率研究表明,龙骨洞古地磁柱的两个正极性事件应与奥都威亚时和留尼旺亚时对比。

| Abstract: | This paper offers a reply to Mr. Shi's on the Jianshi hominid fossils. Shi argues that the age of the “Jianshi hominid” from the Longgudong Cave at Gaoping in Jianshi County of Hubei Province is 1.1Ma BP—1.4Ma BP based on sedimentation rate analysis of the Gaoping Formation. Research on mammalian fossils, hominid fossils, and sedimentary rate from the Longgudong Cave suggests that the two normal polarity events in the geomagnetic column of the Longgudong Cave should be correlated with, respectively, the Olduvai and Reunion events of the geomagnetic polarity time scale. The “Jianshi hominid” is about 2Ma BP in age. Shi's opinion is of mistakes in concept. |
