湖南郴县华塘地区的长兴阶

摘    要:<正> 湖南南部郴县、桂阳交界的华圹地区,晚二叠世晚期地层发育良好。在东西长6公里,南北宽1.3公里的华塘向斜范围内(图1),岩相变化很大,既有以硅质岩为主含菊石的“大隆组”,又有以厚层白云质灰岩为主,含筵类、菊石、腕足类等的“长兴组”。笔者在采集化石、测制剖面进行生物地层工作的同时,对上述两种岩相的变化关系进行了追索和研究,现将我们的认识概述如下。 (一)郴县华塘公社三合小学剖面


The Changhsingian in Huatang of Chenxian, S. Hunan
Abstract:The Changhsingian well exposed at Huatangof Chenxian in southern Hunan is underlain by the Xiaoyuanchong Formation and conformably overlain by the lowermost Triassic strata. It can be divided into two members, the lower member and the upper member. The lower member is 172 m thick and consists mostly of thin or thick-bedded siltstone and silicalite, with a few bra-chiopods such as Waagenites. Choneiinella, etc. The upper member is extremely variable in the lithofacies, thickness and fauna. There are two major facies, siliceous facies and limestone facies. The siliceous, facies is formed of dark, nearly black, silicalites that are commonly regarded as basin in deposition and probably indicate a fairly deep water. The outcrop area of the limestone facies is in small-scale northeastward sycline. The biohermal limestone and the shell heaps are the commonest type of limestone facies. The limestone tacies with relatively varied and diverse faunas suggests that this is not a deep water deposit, but perhaps a small carbonatite platform. The abrupt lithofacies change of appearance intervened between the deposition of the limestone facies and the siliceous facies indicates a sharp change of sedimentary environment.
