Division and correlation of the weakly metamorphosed rock series in the middle reaches of the Nandujiang River in Hainan Island |

| Abstract: | The weakly metamorphosed rocks in the middle reaches of the Nandujiang River in Hainan Island were named Tuolie Group of Cambrian System. Afterwards, it was assigned-also into Sinian-Cambrian, Ordovician, Devonian and Carboniferous Systems. According to the newest achievement in geological survey, this group has been divided recently into the Zusailing Formation of Upper Silurian Series, Nanhao Formation and Qingtianxia Formation of Lower Carboniferous Series and Shiling Formation of Lower-upper Carboniferous Series. The ages of all of the formations mentioned above have been demonstrated based on the study of paleobiostratlgraphy. |
