| 摘 要： | <正> 1983年9月,笔者在大巴山西段的陕西省西乡县三郎铺高家湾一带,发现中寒武统陡坡寺组之上,中奥陶统宝塔组之下有一套3—4m厚的地层,由棕黄色含铁质的中粒砂岩组成,横向延伸稳定,含以扬子贝为主的腕足类及海林檎,上、下界线清楚,具有独立地层单位特点,命名为西乡组。

Xixiang Formation--a new Lower Ordovician horizon of western Dabashan |

| Abstract: | Xixiang Formation, a new Lower Ordovician horizon of western Dabashan Range, was found in the Sanlangpu region, Xixiang, Shansi. It was overlain by. the Middle Ordovician Eaota Formation and underlain by the Middle Cambrian Douposi Formation. The Xixiang Formation is composed of brown-yellow sandstones, 4.06m thick. Many fossils brachiopoda occurred in this rocks, such as: Yangtzeella poloi, Yangtzeella kueiyangensis, Orthis sericus, Sinonhis typica, Lepidonhis sp., The Xixiang Formation may correlate to the "Yangtzeella Bed" of the Lower Ordovician Xiliangsi Formation, Liangshan region, Nan-zhen County, Shanxi Province. The find of the Lower Ordovician Xixiang Formation is significant for accounting for the palaeoenviroment and palaeogeography of the early Ordovician of northern margin of the Yangtze Province. |
