| Abstract: | Based on the analysis of the concepts of settlement and consolidation, the applicability of the traditional settle- ment calculation formula has been studied. For the sea embankment engineering practice problems, the cautions and sugges- tions of the soft base embankment engineering practice analysis been pointed out, which can benefit the further studies. |
