| Abstract: | This paper describes briefly the selection principle for tunnel alignment and tunnel location alternatives in relation to topographic and geologic conditions,etc, based on three developing trends for tunnels towards higher density, longer length and larger cross section in the current railway construction. It will be significant in design of the tunnel route selection. |
