冀西北铁岩类型与沉积环境

摘    要:冀西北铁岩的结构和构造类似于碳酸盐岩,因此,借鉴于现代碳酸盐相模式与沉积环境,有可能恢复古代铁岩的沉积环境。本文对铁岩分类及其沉积环境进行了探讨。

Abstract:The ironstone discussed represents a sedimentary type of high-grade iron-ore deposits in China.In our point of view,it is a sort of detrital-chemical sediments consisting of particular materials with a bi-modal (clay-size particle,sand-size particles) grain-size distribution.Texturally,thesis ironstones are approximately similar to limestones.Prom the textures of grain and micritic matrix in ironstones,it can be subdivided a few of types.The main types are such as intraclastic ironstone,oolitic ironstone,micritic ironstone and algal ironstone.The studies of primary sedimentary structures of the Changzhougou and Chuan-linggou formations show that the evolutional process of the sedimentary environment in which deposited the ironstone was varying from the tidal flat through sandy beach,algal flat,oolitic bank to the shallow sea in the transgressive sequence.Apparently,the ironstone formed in a transitional environment between the intertidal zones and subtidal low energy zones (shallow sea).The regular distribution of various types of ironstones in the sedimentary basin is related to the transgression and regression.The intraclastic,algal,micritic and oolitic ironstones are products of the supper intertidal zone,the lower intertidal zone,the intermediate zone between the lower zone and the subtidal high-energy zone,as well as the subtidal high-energy zone respectively.
