| Abstract: | The presence of a series of long chain alkyl aromatic and heteroaromatic hydrocarbons was confirmed in a Utah boghead coal using tandem mass spectrometry. Parent and neutral loss scans were utilized to characterize the complex mixture and daughter scans were used to identify individual components. |
