| Abstract: | here are abundant chitinozoan in the Early Ordovician of Huaqiao at Changyang of Hubei Province. According to the characteristics of their vertical stratigraphic range, three assemblages are recognized. In ascending order, they are Lagenochitina of. destombesi assemblage, Conochitina symmetrica assemblage and Conochitina mamagouensis sp. nov. assemblage. Based on the occurrence of Sagenachitina oblmlga of COnochitina mamagouensis sp. nov. assemblage, it is concluded that the Early Ordovician chitinozoan fauna from Huaqiao has an affinity with that of north Gondwana margin in biogeography. |
