| Abstract: | This paper presents a procedure for evaluating the maximum horizontal accel- eration on site investigation by the seismogeological method in the region of east China, and shows how to consider the effects of far-field earthquake and near- source earthquake in ground motion. It is possible that this method of determining the parameter for ground motion is more reasonable and that a high safety factor could be obtained for a great project. |
