| Abstract: | Soft starter is a new kind of installation to start cage type asynchronous motors. It can make pickup current smoothly raised in a constant slope and has no impulse on power network,as well as defensive functions of overloading and phase lacking. The paper introduced soft starter characteristics and status quo, application of soft starter in geological exploration. |
