| Abstract: | The karst caves , which are found in the carbonate rocks in Xishan , Beijing , are studied in the paper in contrast with the hydro geological and geological conditions .The conclusions are as follows .The formation and differentiation of karst caves are mainly controlled by degree of tectogenesis and different characters of fractures as well as the influnce of the rock fabric .So , the kind of rocks and petrofabric tectonic elements , etc . are taken as independent variables , and the volume of karst caves as dependent variable .
Using theory of quantification , the model is established for predicting the distribution of caves . The results of calculation coincide with observed field data . |
