| Abstract: | This paper expounds a new method for direct synthesis of benzyl acetate by means of seterification of crystal sodium acetate with benzyl chloride in the presence of hexadecyl trimethy lammonium bromide as catalyst. The influence factors of reaction time,dosage ogf catalyst,charger radio of raw material and amount of water on the yield of ester are studied. The experiments show that the yield of ester is over 88% under appropriate reaction condition. This synthetic method is simple in poeration and feasible for industrial production. The raw materials can be obtained easily and no pollution is produced during the Industrial process. |
